Senator Martin moved to amend the bill by striking out the title and substituting therefor a new title, to read as follows:

Eng. Com. Sub. for Senate Bill 587— A BILL to amend and reenact §7-7-1 and §7-7-4 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to adjusting the salary schedules for elected county officials; eliminating duplicative budget certification by State Auditor; adding a mechanism for future salary increases; and prohibiting salary adjustment in certain circumstances.
